A recent entry in the august issue of the Archives of Dermatology highlights a study carried out by research staff at the University of California, San Francisco. Their research showed that the risk of raised cholesterol and/or triglyceride levels in the blood was higher than previouslty espected.

Accutane should not be taken by pregnant women as it has been linked to birth defects.

The team of researchers say that do not know if children who take Accutane will increase their chances of developing cardiovascular problems when they become adults.
